- Cultural awareness.
The syllabuses are international in outlook, but retain a local relevance. They have been created specifically for an international student body and avoid cultural bias. IGCSE is divided into 2 as core and extended.
IGCSE Courses for Core and IGCSE Extended
To take into account differing abilities, there is a choice between Core and Extended curriculum papers in some subjects. The Core curriculum is within the ability range of a large majority of students. It provides a full overview of the subject and is targeted at students expected to achieve grades C to G. The Extended curriculum has been designed for the more academically able. It is targeted at those expected to achieve grades A* to E.
Cambridge IGCSE assessment takes place at the end of the course and can include written, oral, coursework and practical assessment. This broadens opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning, particularly when their first language is not English. In many subjects there is a choice between core and extended curricula, making Cambridge IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities.
Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November and then the results are issued in August and January.

Hello I am searchi g for an IGCSE double science teacher for my son.Can you help me?
I recently used TestPrep’s private tutoring service to study for IGCSE Mathematics. Going in, I had very little confidence in my Mathematical abilities; I’ve always done far better with verbal tests than with quantitative ones. My tutor helped me immensely with my mathematics skills and instilled in me the confidence that I was lacking for the exam, itself. She helped me to figure out the problem-solving process that worked best for me, which is to take it slowly, write everything down, and be very methodical.
I was very impressed with her attention to students’ individual learning styles and his dedication to making sure that students approach the problems in the way that best suits their own needs and abilities. I would absolutely recommend her as a tutor.
Is it the Excel or Cambridge curriculum?
