A-Level Mathematics is a core exam covering pure mathematics, statistics and mechanics administered by Cambridge CIE or Edexcel exam boards. Algebra, calculus, trigonometry, vectors, probability distributions and Newton's laws form the core topics. CIE divides Pure Mathematics into Paper 1 and Paper 3, Statistics into Paper 6 and Mechanics into Paper 4.
Achieving A* in A-Level Mathematics requires strong algebraic manipulation, proof skills and the ability to apply calculus to practical problems.
